Nam Tok Si kheed Nam Tok Si kheed locates in Thakoak River area, 15 kilometers from Sichol District, Nakhon Si Thamarat Province. The source of the waterfall is a high mountain range at the border between Sichol District, Nakhon Sri Thammarat Province and Kanjanadit District, Surat Thani Province. The area at the border is called by local people as Chong Num Pan Gun (Watershred Channel). The waterfall starts from a 60-meter cliff which also is the source of it. The water flows along rocky canal for about 12 kilometers. There is not yet known clearly how many levels the waterfall is, the approximate is about more than 100 levels. There are four islands on the waterway. Someone say Nam Tok Si kheed is the Second Nam Tok Erawan of Kanchanaburi. The unique thing along the waterfall is that; it consists of limestone which has no lichen so that can be convenient for traveler to walk along the waterway safely. Some limestones look beautifully like stalagmites and stalactites. The green water stores in large ponds which are suitable for playing water. There is also a convenient tarmac road reaches the waterfall area. |
