Phu Suan Sai National Park

The park possesses the most pristine forest cover in Loei Province. A number river of catchment area important in this dry corner of Northeast Thailand, start here. It is also enriched by several local cultures of the people who live adjacent to the park boundary. The park was established on 2 April 1991 to honour the anniversary of the 36th burthday of Her Royal Highness Pricess Sirindhorn. The park's other attractive points are Tard Huong Fall, Phu Teen Suei Sai scenic spot, Rocky Entrance at Phu Teen Suei Sai spot, and Nam Pah Fall.
Geographical Features
It is a highland mountain, and very steep between 2%-50%. On the west is a very big forest as well as very steep also, however it is not on the east. It is 600-1,408 meters high above the sea level.
Weather Condition
It is cool a whole year because the forest is very well reserved. Besides, it is much cold in the winter.
Varieties of Plants and Wild Animals
There are many plants and wild lives such as antelopes, deer, palm civet, boar, bear, tiger, hyenas, bison, flying squirrel, squirrel, as well as porcupines which villagers call it “Dtoa-Horn”. They are living in the hole but they don’t dig it by themselves as normal porcupines. There are also many kinds of birds such as hawk, warblers, barbet, black bird, wild fowl, magpie, and there is “Nok Kong Kod” which there are more than one spur and looks like peacock. There also are reptiles such as turtle, chameleon, ground lizards, skinks, monitors, snakes, daces, serpent-head fish, carps, eel, and scorpion fish.

By Car

From Loei, takes the highway 2003. 2031 and 2113 to Amphur Nahaew and then further to about 4 km. to Ban Mueng Prea, turn left to the highway 1268 and turn right at its last junction on 0km. post. From 0km. post just a few meters ahead is the Park Headquarters From Bangkok-Lomsak, Petchabun takes the highway 203, 2014 and 2113 to Amphur Nahaew and then further to about 4 km to Ban Mueng Prae, turn left on the highway 1268 and turn right at its last junction on 0km post. From 0km post just a few meters ahead is the situated of the Park Headquarters. From Phisanulok-Amphur Chattrakarl-Bangkok, at 50 km turn right to the highway 1268 and further to 0km. post from here just a few meters ahead is the Park Headquarters.

Payment at Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, needs to be done within 2 days after the reservation is being made. Culture and Tradition

Four stones It is on Pu-Teen Suan Sai Mountains. There are four stones in the middle of the jungle, look like the gate of Pu Teen Suan Sai. The villagers will pay respect every other 2 years as called “Song pee harm sam pee krob” on the third or forth month.74

Hin Guay Loh It is on Phu Teen suan Sai and look like a mushroom in the middle on the jungle. The radius is about 19 meters and high 4 meters and look like someone dug surrounding but it is nature.
